Question for Dream Theater fans?

As you know, Dream Theater used to open for Marillion. The question is, were you a Marillion fan or Dream Theater fan first, and did you end up liking the other band as a result seeing them together (or listening to the other because they were linked at the time)?

The reason I ask is that I was a HUGE fan of Marillion when Fish was with the band, and my son has recently turned me on to DT and I am quickly becoming a fan of theirs.

i'll be honest, i do love DT but I have never heard of Marillion. but i will most definitely check them out thanks for the heads up

Maybe it's because I just got into DT beginning this spring.

Thanks for the specific Marillion CD referrals! I'm totally into album rock, rather than specific songs.
