Question for Elementary Teachers?

Do you like what you do? What advice would you give a brand new elementary teacher?

make sure you keep your work/life balance. the job can take over if you let it. you will just have to resign yourself to the fact that, no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to get everything done.

i'm just about to go into my 3 year of teaching, and i love it, but it's really hard work and there are days when i question my sanity. but then one of the kids will do or say something which makes it all worthwhile.
