Question for English fans: what do you think about Tyron Mears? Is he a very good player or a bad one?

Hi everyone, i'm French and i have a question about an english player, Tyron Mears, who just sign in Marseille today. I just know he was a player of Derby County, so i'm a little anxious, because i know that Derby was the worse defence in Europe last year, with 89 goals!!!!!!!! So, if some english Premier League fans can tell me more about this player, if it's a good business for Marseille or not... Because all the city of Marseille is anxious about this transfer today... So, tell me sincerely with precise details what do you think about this player (very good, good, bad, very bad, etc...). Tell me his qualities, his defects, his way of playing, in fact all on how is he perceived in England... I want to know him better, so i want your advices, because i sincerely dont know him at all. So please answer me seriously. Thanks a lot.

Not good enough for a Champions League side like Marseille, that's for sure.

ps. Good luck for Group D...you're going to need it with Liverpool, PSV and Atletico being your opponents! We'll try to go easy on you at Anfield... ;)

I think he was one of the better Derby players but I have no idea why a club like Marseille would sign him!

He is a very average player. He was at West Ham before Derby, and did not play many games in the first team. Do not get excited about him joining your club!
