Question for Ipod Touch?

I just got an Ipod touch 8gb....do i have to have itunes to put songs on my Itouch or can i just use windows media player and sync it on there...and if i do have to use Itunes then do i have to pay anything to just put songs on my I touch because i already have music on my computer already in a folder on my desktop...please help....

Um I don't know, but I would say download Itunes, and then see if you can just transfer all your music from your media player onto Itunes. That's the only thing I can think of...sorry!

yes, you have to use itunes not only to sync songs but to activate it and use youtube, the itunes store on the ipod, and other applications, which you need itunes to get

yes you have to use itunes but it way better than windows media player anyway

and to put the music you already have in itunes just click file and then add to library and select the file with all your music in it

but if you want a song or a movie just go into the itunes store and buy it

but you don't have to pay for anything if you have music

Yes, you do need itunes to get stuff on there, for the most part.  There are third part programs that can used in tiunes place, one is called Floola. As far as using media player, No. It wont cost you to put your songs on to the ipod but you do need to put them in the right format which is MP4 or H.264. The only cost you have to get file ont he ipod is if you download files from the itunes store and put them in the ipod.

YOu cant put files on the ipod that are copyright protected: meaning, files downloaded from other paysites. You will wan to look at ripping sofware to rip CDs and converters to convert files from one format to the correct format (MP4.) There is a free converter called Quickmedia converter you can find with a net search. Try going to snapfiles.com its a freeware/shareware site that you can use to search for programs to do what you need. Hope this helps.
