  1. You can't remarry during that period. I know nothing about not going outside. You should fact check that.

  2. To stop Muslim women from getting married right away. Although I will admit there may be more to it than just that.

  3. You dont have to sit at home. Its just the mourning period. And it would be just for your aunt and not for you. :)

  4. The others are correct in saying that she is restricted from remarrying for a period of 4 months and 10 days. But I've known widows to stay home during this period or at least stay away from occasions where people gather together (like weddings, other people's funerals etc.)

  5. its 4 months and 10 dayz

  6. yes, it is for 4 months and 10 days, only if your aunt is Muslim,,

  7. it is 4 month and 10 days or if she is pregnant until her child is born. There are ifta  if she is working or not she can go out in the morning and come back before sunset (but this if her work is vital and she can not take time off), but according to the law here they do give her the time off.

to be in the safe side u go to the nearest mosque because there are also restrictions that men should not come and visit her.

  8. idaa period

    4 months 10 days

  9. The waiting period of married women is the experience of three menstruations. See 2:228.

2:234 For those of you who pass away and leave widows behind, then their widows will have a required interim period of four months and ten days. When they reach their required interim, then there is no blame on you for what they do to themselves according to the recognized norms. God is Ever-aware of what you do.

  10. You mean the 'Idda period. It is four months and ten days for widows:

002:234   And those of you who die and leave wives behind them, they (the wives) shall wait (as regards their marriage) for four months and ten days, then when they have fulfilled their term, there is no sin on you if they (the wives) dispose of themselves in a just and honourable manner (i.e. they can marry). And Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.

    Al-Qur'an, 002.234 (Al-Baqara [The Cow])

It is talking about marriage not going out. I'm not sure about the going out part.
