Oh my god, so you answer the questions in the Medical section of Yahoo! Answers the most, eh?

Haha, okay. So, I want to become just like you, and I'm just about to turn 15 and finish my freshman year of high school.

If you would please take five minutes of your time and tell me what exact classes you took each year of high school and college? I'm just a VERY curious guy, haha.

Thanks!

  1. I don't remember everything I took, and things were a little different back in the 1970's - 80's.

In high school I took honors math, science and English courses.  We didn't have AP courses.  Science included biology, chemistry and physics.  Math included geometry, trig, college algebra and calculus.  For foreign language I took Russian (it was during the cold war...)

In college, I majored in psychology, so I took a lot of courses related to that.  I also took the med school pre-requisites, once I figured out that's what I wanted to do.  Some of my favorite courses were neuropsychology and genetics.

I wish I had taken biochemistry in college, because I found that to be the most challenging course in medical school.

If you want to go to med school, take a bunch of science courses.  When you get to college, find a major that interests you - you'll get better grades if you're studying something you really enjoy.

Other physicians here may have had a totally different educational experience.
