Question for Paramedics/FireFighters?

Ok, a dream i had urged me to ask this question.

the dream was of a guy that got into a motorcycle accident, and was basically torn apart. In the dream, i was a firefighter i think, and when we arrived, we cleaned the scene up..we couldnt find all his pieces because it was night, so in the dream, I was raking the grass(yeah weird i know)..

The Question is After the Coroner comes and takes the whole body, What do you guys do with the meaty particles/skin/brains/blood once you scrape it off the road and hose the road down? Do you just leave it in the grass for the vultures to feed on?

  1. im a firefighter and we dont usualy leave anything behind. never saw anyone get blown up from a accident. sorry lol

  2. Being a paramedic/deputy let me tell you this from experience.

All body parts are considered a HazMat and are part of the body. We find as much as we can to go to the coroners office. Blood is treated with a %10 bleach solution first to kill, well bleach kills d**n near everything. After about ten minutes its washed down with a whole heck of a lot of water.

Citizens don’t like finding body parts or blood during their daily activities.
