Question for Rockies fans?

I never thought I would say this, but I think the Rockies have become a better team without Todd Helton. Ian Stewart at third w/ Atkins at first has been amazing. I feel like a traitor saying this, but I feel like its time for a change. Does anyone else think the same or think that maybe Helton can come back and contribute?

Atkins and stewart has been very good I agree.  With both of them being power hitters, they are producing more runs than Helton would.  But Atkins is no where close to being the same defensively as Todd and I think people overlook defense too much.  Todd is not a power hitter anymore its true. I disagree when you say a "better team." Todd Helton has been the leader of that team for years and is the one who took them to the playoffs last year. The team has suffered because they do not have his presence and leadership in the clubhouse anymore.  We need to respect Todd Helton for what he does in the clubhouse as well as on the field.  This year has not been the same without him.  I hope we keep him because I would be crushed if he was traded but I also don't want Atkins or Stewart to go either. Its a tough decision but Helton needs to stay.

i dont think so man, Todd Helton is a 300+ Career hitter, your team is no way better without Todd Helton. To the Guy who said the Dodgers are better without Kent, They are. Cant you feel the love in the clubhouse? No hater *** Kent Taking potshots at Scully. Besides Dewitt's swing is looking ferocious, he doesnt want to go back to the Minors.

The last answer has it down. Helton will help any ballclub he is with he is one of the most clutch guys in the game. I'm npt saying Atkins/Stewart have been bad, but if they had all three they would be rockin.

And as far as the Dodgers go, yes they are better without Kent he is a whiny nancy SF GIANT. Dewitt is a much better option for the stretch run.

The Rocks  need to move one of the three (Helton, Atkins, Stewart) this off season. As a long time Rockies fan it kills me to say this but. I think the toddlers have now passed todd by. i just wish we could have won it all with todd when we had a chance.
