  1. Well, its different, but o.k.

  2. Well.. in my country would be more a pet name. But I think is beatiful. I'm mexican, but if I would have a girl, I would name her Alaia,  which means something like "happy"  or "cheerful" in euskera, the language of the Basque country.

  3. No girl in Spain is called "Bonita". Maybe in Latin America.

Translator, are you sure that "Bonita" is not her last name? If it's her real first name, does she come from Latin America? If not, it's the first time I hear this name in Spain. For sure I'll tell that if I meet her. I think that "Bonita" is a nice name but is not known in Spain.

  4. Of course not !!!  some one might think that it can be a nickname, but nothing bad at all.  I consider that name a blessing from your parents...  Cheers ! and good luck Bonita !!! by the way, there is a very famous song by a very famous past mexican singer/song writer.  His name is Agustin Lara, and the story is that he fell in love with the most beautiful woman in all of the country, her name... Maria Felix.  He composed this song for her... hope you like it.  The name of the song... " Maria Bonita " !!  enjoy.
