Can you get into any of them? Just the trailer for Ugly Betty is enough to make me turn the telly off. I haven't seen a good one since the excellent Married With Children.

  1. I hate Ugly Betty with a passion.

But I don't mind Scrubs or Friends although the endless repeats are abit annoying.

  2. The only good ones I can really think of are Seinfeld; as well as Fraiser (which had its moments).

  3. I agree. I think Married With Children was excellent and since then it's been mindless drivel as a base for getting a singing and model career.

It's the Simpsons or nothing for me nowadays.

They've all gone the same way as Star Trek - no inventiveness, just banal supposed humour. You could swap the characters around the shows and you wouldn't notice the difference.

  4. I loved SOAP.

  5. I used to watch Will and Grace, I dunno what's happened to that actually, they must have stopped showing it.

Sometimes they do rinse their shows till they are no longer funny.

  6. I like ugly betty and friends...i don't like 8 simple rules or that one about the 2 blonde sisters.

There so not funny its funny.

  7. It's not a sitcom, but Dexter is great tv.

  8. If you can find it in the UK check out Arrested Development. That was the best show ever from the US.

BTW, Coupling (UK version) was a brilliant show! The US remake...and it was word for word from the UK script...was horrible. I love watching it on BBC America. I also dread that the US is going to kill my other favorite BBC America show, Top Gear. I just cannot see the US cast doing that format justice.

  9. Friends was THE BEST show ever to come out of America and it was the most succesful sitcom from America, at its time.

Married with children is hardly ever even screened anymore! Friends is shown every day, alot on a few diff channels...its the best

they do come up with some good sitcoms, but they just dont get much recognition, take The War At Home for example. Its an awesome, funny show but they stopped making it because not alot of tv channels wanted to buy it, but the ones that did, still show it now because its that good

Hope and Faith was a good one aswell. Very good. It was shown on ABC1. But for some reason Sky took that channel away. Its not on any sky packages now, its gone from the UK totally...whcih really annoyed me because it was a funny show

  10. i used to watch friends... =) good times

  11. Will and Grace .... because I really like Debra Messing

    Scrubs is brilliant

I don't think that American sit coms are c**p, it's just that Americans have a different kind of humour to us.

  12. Most American tv is c**p. The shows make me want to claw my eyes out. There is not much worth watching, its been years since I have seen a good comedy. I just don't watch them anymore. I never watched Married w/ Children. Ugly Betty is not that bad.s*x and violence, violence and s*x.... that is all you see.Look at reality shows they are S**T what kind of message are we sending the world? The American people scare me... and I'm one of them!
