  1. You are who you are, and no other person can dictate your beliefs.

  2. If you let your friends run your life for you, then it isn't really your life at all, but theirs.  If they cannot accept you for who you are, they're not your friends.

  3. The simple truth is that no one knows if any religion has truth behind it, so an atheist has no right to bad mouth it or you for being whatever you like.

Some people need religion and other don't, we all have different needs in life and fulfilling them makes life easier to cope with.

I would say be a Polytheist if it will help you through life and no disrespect for your mates but if they laugh at you so easily making you feel ashamed and embarresed they don't sound like the kind of friends I'd want to be seen talking with.

  4. paganism is workin pretty well for me because it represents all the things i love and believe in, the earth, and the supernatural. so my best advice, for ultimate happiness follow what you believe in.

  5. Grow up.  Seriously, you're talking about having your beliefs conform to group think.

If you believe, then you're a polytheist.

If you don't want people to know you're a polytheist, don't tell them.  But don't claim you're an atheist either, because that would be lying.  In short, don't get into religious discussions if you're uncomfortable discussing your religion.  It's really that simple.

  6. Obviously you don't have real friends then, because if you did, they would accept you regardless of your beliefs.

  7. Why would they? I have all manner of atheist friends both on R&S and in real life. They are always very respectful to me.

  8. I don't understand.

Either you are a polytheist, or you are not. What do you believe? Think about it, and when you have decided, ignore those who would make fun of you.

  9. So what's more important ?

Follow whatever you think is right, and if you lose a few

friends in the process, don't worry... you will make new

ones who will share and support your beliefs.

  10. Do what you want to do I'm a witch and proud of it

  11. Do what you want.if they were really your friends then they wouldn't laugh at you.I still believe in Dragons even though I'm laugh at and made fun of every day at school.

  12. Good.

Polytheists don't want wishy washies, thanks.

  13. You can only be true to your heart. No one can make you believe something, you have to want to. As for worrying whether your friends will make fun of you.. if they are your friends they'll except you for what you are.

  14. Atheists on R&S make fun of anyone who disagrees with them. They don't *really* mean it, it's just reflexive at this point. Self defense actions are perfectly normal really.

You should always believe things that you believe in. There's no rules on what you can and can't believe, though you do have to accept that people won't understand your beliefs easily, if at all.

  15. I believe that most Atheists only tend to make fun of the 'proselytizers' who try to preach their religion - who are usually the mono-theists of the Abrahamic religion.

If you're a polytheist who keeps to yourself, I doubt most Atheists would care what you believe in.

  16. Ok let me get this right :Polytheism is belief in or worship of multiple gods together with associated mythology and rituals.

    am I right?

Well anyways be who/what you wanna be if you wanna be polytheistic, I say do it...I wanted to be wiccan and here I am wiccan...

Who cares what your friends think...If they are just going to make fun of you because you believe in gods/goddesses because they dont...It is wrong they shouldnt judge you if you are their true friend...

And if they have any snide remarks dont listen to it, it is your life not theirs...

    Hope I helped

    Blessed Be..and many Bright Blessings

  17. How sad. Where's your question?

Edit: Be what you wanna be. Who cares what they think? People can't force you to believe in something - belief is too personal for anyone to influence or change.
