Question for a bedroom?

okay i'm going to be painting my room but i don't really know what i want to do. i love color, i'm a very earhty and woodsy person who rather go on a hike then shop. so i need help picking a color scheme, can you give me a few ideas?

Ok if you want a calming outdorsy type room i thought sage green and a chocolate brown. I don't know if you are getting new furniture but nice cream colored furniture would be nice. Also, find things out doors like pinecones and put them in a nice bowl. Make sure your room represents you and has things that you like (the outdoors). With your paint maybe you can make a big stripe of brown going from your floor to a little less then half your wall and the top half can be the green color. I hope I helped enjoy your room.

try Forest green with a dark brown trim or maybe lighter shades of both, but that's classic, if you want original try something like an animal you like, peacock colors for instance

tell you what you must choose your fav color or if you wanna choose a color you can even choose the color that  is the most in your room like if your bedsheet is pink  and most of the things are pink you can paint that, and you can even color different on each wall ...hope i helped..

I am certainly no professional, but I love HGTV which by the way they have a cool website. One of the things I see when they are decorating any room is they usually pick one thing to base the design around. It could be a rug, a picture, for you it could be a favorite flower (silk ones in a vase). I believe that colors are usually chosen in threes. The other thing is to choose textures not just colors. For instance, my bedspread is that suede feeling and my valance is satin. In my daughters bedroom I actually made throw pillows in just about every texture and color of pink and different shapes, round, heart shaped, neck roll and square, some we added fringe to. This was fun and really looked cute.

The biggest thing I tell myself when painting is... Its just paint. Easy enough to redo.
