How much and how big a job is it to repair a runner bearing on a gearbox, My cars a fiat seicento yr2000. Thanks

  2. I have no idea what a 'runner bearing' is - If you mean a bearing inside the gearbox, you're better off sourcing a good second hand gearbox & fitting that along with a new clutch.

    The cost of rebuilding your own gearbox will probably be more than the car's worth.

  3. The biggest part of repair bills is labour charges.The most economical way to solve your problem would be to buy a complete gearbox from a breakers yard and pay a mechanic to fit it.At least 50%the cost of repairing yours in terms of man hours.

  4. Maybe a roller baring ,If so it will require gear box removal and strip, depending on which roller baring as there are four, price between £200-£300.

  5. possibly the best way is if you have a good garage they will put a second hand gearbox in ,that would be cheaper.just flutter your s**y eyes at them
