  1. hey jj,

first things first - don't panic!!

you know these visions are not real - that occurs to me in your Q.

that's got the problem cornered for a start !

i suggest you go to your school people for help for  the first - is there somebody you can talk to at school?

i am george , 42yo guy, educated in psychology and psychoanalysis, live in scotland, here to help - my email is gmcn2003  at yahoo com

take it easy mate, email me and we can talk - informal no pressure whatsoever .

you are safe , so these visions are not going to really hurt you, even if they are very upsetting!!

get in touch, it's all for the good!

  2. It sounds like you're suffering from anxiety. It's entirely possible that you're brain is obsessing and/or worrying about something and your body is feeling the effects.

If you keep thinking that you're going to throw up, your stomach is going to physically start feeling that too. It's psycho-somatic.

Don't feel stupid or weird, it's completely normal. You should see your doctor because it's dangerous to faint (you could hit your head, ect).

The hyperventilating happens because you're having a panic/anxiety attack, and it's completely normal. You may feel that it's never going to end and that you're going to pass out, but that will not happen. When you hyperventilate, your body has too much oxygen. In order to faint, you need to have a sudden drop in blood pressure, which usually happens from lack of oxygen. So don't worry about that.

Like I said, see your doctor. She'll be able to talk to you about your symptoms and refer you to a psychiatrist who can there diagnose you with anxiety and give you ways (possibly medicine but not necessarily) to help you overcome your fears. Don't be put off by seeing a psychiatrist, you're not crazy. You see your doctor for the flu or a broken leg, stuff that's not right in your body. You see a psychiatrist when something's not right (lol you know what i mean) in your brain.

Good luck! I hope this helps!

  3. i'm not a psychiatrist or a doctor, but you are NOT stupid. i used to get visions and hyperventilate, and it was due to me worrying about other things going on in my life. please, go see a doctor. they won't tell anyone what you say to them unless you want them to, cause it is confidential.

good luck, and hope you feel better soon :-)

  4. Hi there,

You're not stupid huni so don't think that. There's nothing stupid about what you have said and what you are explaining so don't be so hard on yourself. It must be very frightining to see these images. It's possible they are anxiety attacks caused by fear or stress or maybe they are flashbacks from previous years when something traumatic happened to you and your mind has forgotten it.

I know it can seem scary but the best person for you to see is your go who will know what help to give you. Try to confide in an adult you trust, like family, teachers, school counsellor etc.

It sounds like you do need a wee bit of help with this, don't worry people only want to help you.

    best wishes
