  1. Obama went to play basketball in a FOB in Iraq but couldn't make a stop at Landstuhl Army Medical Center...not to mention he has absolutely no true foreign policy/defense experience. Enough said...

  2. Hmmm...

McCain's father and Grandfather were both Admirals.

There are ships named after them. Several bases have streets named after them.

McCain is a Navy veteran, POW, and has been a strong military supporter over his political career.

Obama has no ties to the military and has no so much as shaken a soldier's hand and said thank you.

It seems pretty obvious to me.

If you are in the military and do not want a cut in pay or benefits, there is only one reasonable choice.

  3. It is a common Military expression:

Vote Democrat if you don't want to deploy, but you will get paid less.

Vote Republican and get a raise, and go to war.

  4. With so many GI's reenlisting for 2, 3, or even 4 tours in Iraq, I'd have to guess the majority are voting McCain. Also, it has to hurt Obama's credibility that 1) he's never been so much as a Boy Scout, let alone a GI, and 2) he sought the advice of General Petreaus (on an Iraqi pull-out) and then went against it. The man is clearly not fit to be Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.

  5. Historically the military votes about 70-80% Republican.

This year is looks like it may be a little lower, 60-70% Republican.

In a recent poll I saw, only about 20% of the military responded they were Democrats, about 30% Republican, a surprising 20% or so said libertarian, the rest were independent.
