Question for all g**s and Bisexuals. What were your parent's religious and political beliefs?

  2. Church of the Nazarene on both sides.  Very conservative Republican.

    My stepfather was Episcopal, and threatened to become an atheist when they named a g*y Bishop.

    My maternal grandfather would have paid my way through college had I gone to Point Loma, (a Nazarene college) but since I decided to be a Pentecostal minister, I was on my own.  Of course they didn't want me, either, when they found out I was g*y, so here I am: a minister without portfolio, so to speak.

  9. Lutheran religion, went to services every Sunday, usually went to Wednesday night social events in the parish basement, my Father was on the Parish oversight committee, and I was an acolyte (altar boy) or crucifer (carried Crucifix in processional and recessional) most Sundays.

    Registered Democrats who would vote against liberal Democrats in the primary elections and vote Republican in the general election. Very conservative, members of Jerry Falwell's "Moral Majority," & thought Reagan was the greatest President.

  11. Hyper-religious Christians, over the top. Right-wing Republicans (Fascists at that). It has not worked out very well on a relationship level. It forced me into acceptance of self though, b/c it does come from within. Maybe I am a better person for it in the long run, but it was a very rough road.
