Should California be forced to buy carbon offsets from Al Gore for the huge carbon footprint it is leaving with all of the wild fires burning out of control?..and why aren't the environmentalist whackos out there trying to help put out the fires. Shame on you!!!

Cause they have more cents (a pennies worth)  than to picket a fire line

Its true that the fires pumped out eight million tonnes of carbon dioxide (only) but wild fires don't happen everyday. Thats what the state puts out in only 30 days. And carbon from burning trees and burning fuel is not exactly the same thing. And the annual emissions by these natural processes are only 4-6  percent (2-8 percent at most) of the harmful ones from factories and engines. This is a part of a natural process. Its not only in the states its also happening in Russia, larger scale.

The gradual melting of ice is a part of a natural process. But huge chunks of it floating away and breaking away is not. Andrew Regan (www.icechallenger.co.uk)

Ummmmm, excuse me? Environmentalist whackos? Shame on us? Shame on you!!! I dont see you putting out the fires either! hmmmm? What this tells us is that you are hypocritical, and highly obnoxiouse, we are not qualified to put ourselves in danger for your mistakes, I take care of the environment as best I can! Plus the fact I live in Canada, what am I supposed to do? Find a way over there, only for the inncent trees to be burned to ash! Alot of us are far away from most fires while they happen, Not to mention this danger is for the proffetionals! Shame on You! Polluting Whackos! ;)
