This may sound like a silly question but im desperate for answers. I have been surfing for about a year and for the first month I didnt use sunscreen and I would never burN. Eventually I did burn. Long story short I am careful with my skin now and I use this really expensive sunscreen and I dont burn but I tan and I dont want to look 50 by the time im 30. 1. I like to use Coppertone Sport 50SPF Ultra sweatproof- you still need to reapply every few hours!

  2. well, i don't use sun screan uless it's reallly really sunny. but when i do i use 1 that's water prof

  3. I surf in australia

    I use bananna boat black

    another one is bullfrog

    both are expensive.

use clear or white zinc on your lips if you get your lips burnt.

titanium zinc is the best, but hard to find.

    happy surfing.

  4. use your p**p, it's the best for your skin.

  5. ok. i agree. people that havent given you serious answers are g*y and people that insult surfers IN THE SURFERS SECTION are also stupid. Im a lifeguard, so obviously i use a lot of sunscreen! i go to a pharmacy and get like oil-free sunscreen. Pharmacies alos focus on the health and not the beauty so you'll get better sunscreen there. or try neutrogena sunscreen.

well i hope this helped and best of luck to you! :)

  6. I can say that i live in texas as well as brisbane, queensland (au) through out the year.

and texas is obiously not the best place to surf.

i hope you dont go to galveston,

because then your just hobbling around in crude oil.

but there are some good places.

    in texas,

    just use bananaboat.

like spf 50-60 mabye max (depends on how long your out)

once you start going to like hawaii, or au then you really should look into something different.

there is also some spray on neutrogina stuff.

    its in a blue bottle.

(get it at target or someplace)

i find it to be very protective.

    its decent price,

and it feels like an arisol mosquito spray.

    (if lotion bothers you)

  7. I use coppertone sport 50+ too I reapply about every 2-3 hours If you spend all day in the water like I do you will tan no matter what and also throw in the sun reflecting off the water use a high SPF you will still get the golden brown you are looking for...hope this helps

  8. I surf and i put a entire white coat of 50+ on all of my body and by the time i paddle out to the line up it is soaking in. I dont care what i look like, (my friends make fun of me) but im going to have good skin and not have skin cancer when i am older. Where do you surf at? I am looking for a good spot in NJ. I still surf in the winter in a wetsuit, you never need suntan lotion when you surf in NJ because the water is usually so cold you are wearing a full wetsuit all of the time.

  9. I use whatever waterproof high SPF stuff I have laying around.  Brands like Bullfrog, Himaya, Head Hunter and Ocean Potion were designed for water usage so they work pretty good.  I also use a SPF rated lip balm.
