Question for all the supporters of the cap and trade global warming legislation.....?

What if the cost of buying carbon credits from other companies exceeds the profits they would get from the additional output. What would happen to overall production. Would it pay for so companies to be less productive in order to get more carbon credit to sell. How does this help the economy and fight global warming at the same time?

  2. Believe it or not, but pollution come at a cost, in terms of clean up, health care costs, decreased crop/fish yields, etc....

    A cap and trade system encourages clean technology and reduces the hidden costs associated with pollution.
