I want to be a stewardess when I turn 19 but I'm not sure now. I hear that I may be away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time. Is this true? If it is I'm not sure I could deal with that.

  1. Sounds great! All you do is go on the internet to the specific airlines you may want to work for and look under the "career" section, and it will explain what you need to do. Every airline has their own requirements.

At some airlines, specifically at "charter" airlines (ones that do not have a set schedule but fly on demand) may require you to be gone that long. But most airlines, "scheduled" airlines (Northwest, American, Delta, etc.) have flights that last (usually) no longer than 4 days.

Wish you all the best! You'll love it!
