Hi, thanks for taking a look at my question. I'm training in MMA but up until now I'v worked 90% on grappling, I'm trying to improve my boxing game and become well rounded so I'v set up a little boxing gym in my garage, I'v got most of the equipment I need except maybe a speed ball or floor to ceiling ball, I'm just wondering which one is best for improving accuracy.

Thanks

-Matt

  1. Honestly the pads are the best thing.

Between the two I guess a floor to ceiling with the speed bag you can close your eyes and still hit it based on the rhythm and sound I don't think you can do that with the floor to ceiling bag

  2. hey well really wot i think is that for wot you want is the ceiling ball because thats more for your accarcy but where as a speed ball is for accarcy its for rythem and to build up the strength in your arms

    i hope i have help

  3. Having one without the other is like bringing your hammer to build a house and forgetting your saw.  One is just as important as the other.

  4. Floor to ceiling ball! no doubt!

  5. Honestly i think the floor to the ceiling bag which in fact is actually called a double eng bag. The speed bag is useful as well but you get a better workout with the double end bag. Not only are you trying to work on accuracy to hit the bag but you are also working on your defense which are your slips, blocks and such. Its kinda funny wen you hit the double end bag and it comes back and it hits you in the face. thats why u have to slip and move lol.

  6. looking at your other question, you need neither yet ,

for accuracy , use a heavy bag , and spray a few blobs of paint on it  about 6 inch apart ,  and practice hitting the blobs, untill the acuracy is 1st nature ,

only then should you buy a floor to ceiling ball  for speed,

these pear shaped speedballs are absolutely useless unless you get a pro one because they keep breaking ,

and if youget a pro one , your talking £600 anywhere your lucky enough to get one,  and even then your garage wall wont be strong enough to hold it,

iw i was you i would join an amateur gym , for the sake of £3 a week = £1 per session , tue and thur nite and sun morn
