Question for car expert: Can you explain in layman terms what it means for a car to "bottom out"?

  1. The car frame hits the ground.


  2. it means the bottom of your car is hitting the road or the springs are collapsing.

  3. HI

    It means that your car when going over bumps the suspension is traveling all the way to the stops instead of the shocks stopping it form hitting bottom.
