what do you wear when you dance ( professionally or informally)

ballet performance/exam: ballet shoes, tights, bodysuit, bun / costume, stage makeup, ballet bun, ballet shoes

jazz performance: jazz shoes, costume, stage make up, french braids

jazz: leotard or close fitting shirt, shorts, jazz pants or capri's, jazz shoes or dance paws

modern: leo., shorts or capri's, barefoot or dance paws

You can wear anything you want when your dancing in a non dance studio environment. It is a good idea to wear something that is easy to move, like sweats. All styles of dance require different clothes, each studio has different requirments.

i wear a

- leotard

- Pink tights rolled up(convertable tights)

- tight shorts

When I'm practicing, I wear whatever I was wearing that day, usually jeans and a tshirt. When I'm at a comp I wear a ballroom or latin dress, depending on what I'm doing.

generally i wear clothes,in which i feel comfortable,like-trouser and t-shirt.but when we dance somewhere else like on stage show or some party then i also wear  clothes,like-depend on the song.

When I have a competition I wear my costume which is baggy pair of pants, a tank top and a white t-shirt over top (and all my stage make-up)

For when I'm just going to class I either wear sweatpants and an easy top, or shorts and an easy top (nothing to tight or uncomfortable)

Tights, sport bra and leotard. Gives you freedom to move but keeps you covered. Informally? A dress that allows me to move and comfortable shoes to move in.
