Question for east Indians??

I am a West Indian girl (Guyanese, mixed with portuguese) so I'm pretty fair skinned and have been told that I resemble bollywood indian actresses. I'm currently dating a dark skinned guy (Trinidadian, Indian). Sometimes when I'm in public with my boyfriend, I will pass by some Indian people who will stare at me non-stop, especially older Indian women. Some even give me dirty looks. I was wondering why this is happening. Is it because they think I'm dating out of my culture or because of the skin colour difference? Is that considered a disgrace to Indians?

  1. Loool, if they're looking down on you...YOU look down on them. You are far more westernized than them. You're family are far more westernized  and they are probly jealous.

Who cares what they think, if everyone decided to show their negatives towards one or another then those women could probably be very hurt (inside).

Also maybe they could be appealing towards the caste system in India- dark skinned Indians are looked down on in India and since you are dating a dark Trini they are probly looking down on you and maybe him.

Who cares about women like them really, I always look down on them being Afro-Sinhalese/Portugese-Sinhalese/ West Indies, etc I love people trying to figure out my race and I look down on THEM!

  2. If they are very traditional women, they probably see the man as dating a non-indian woman. Just ignore them. You can both date whomever you choose.

  3. okayyyyy.............
