  1. Ducks have what is known as a counter current heat exchange mechanism in their legs and feet.

    Normally warmth flows from warm areas to less warmth naturally.

    Arteries supplying blood to the duck's feet pass alongside the veins returning the blood to the heart. The warm arterial blood flowing to the feet is cooled by venous blood flowing back to the body where it is warmed again.

    As a result, very little of a duck's body heat is lost through its feet.

  3. well, thats not a real question. i mean, you dont know if a ducks feet dont freeze, you dont speak duck, so you cant ask them. unless, of course you invented a thing that could tell you what they are saying. tell that to your teacher.
