Question for girls that wear dark eye makeup?

Alright, so I've been wearing dark eye makeup for quite a while, but it never really looks that great. And, I want to get it just right so that it doesn't just look like one hot mess. I can't get a good technique down, so ANY tips or ideas are really appreciated. Like, how thick the liner should be on the top and bottom lid? And does anyone know of a good liner for your waterline? I've tried so many things, and everything just smudges off.

This is the best I have been able to get it, but now I'm having trouble recreating it and getting it that light and soft. I would like it to be a little darker, but anyways any opinions on this look? Or things I could do differently to make it look better?

i can't view your link, but i always use victoria's secret black eyeliner. it stays on sooooo well, and i always go right on my lid at the inside corners, and wider at the outside corners. i line top and bottoms, and it rarely smudges.

I try not to look to goth, so for my eye liner i just do the bottom 3/4 across and the top just to the middle of my eyelid (remember when your getting to the end of the line when putting on your eye-liner don't just stop taper it in other words make the line skinnier till you cant see it anymore that makes it look nicer)

I use Mary eye-liner which i like alot but if your not willing to spend that much cover girl liquid liner.

I use black eyeshadow too don't use too much (dont cover your whole eyelid) I just put it on the outside corner and i use some sparkles (you can buy sparkley eyeliner) and i put a little like circle on the outside edge of my eye it looks really cute and not to goth

I use waterproof black eyeliner and it stays on all day.

And I wouldn't recommened putting black eyeliner on the top part of your eyelid

your make up is beautiful.. the colours really go together and blend in together really well..
