  1. I don't think so. For one, she knows that she's odd and really doesn't care. She seems independent to me, not one to rely on cool clothes or the latest fashion to build herself.

She does pretty good with the friends she has, no real social misunderstandings from her side.

If I was going to suggest anyone, it would be Snape. He really is clueless from such a young age, he doesn't understand at all how other people think (although he is sly in the description of his lying to Lily as teenagers, which isn't typical of kids with aspergers, they usually do not lie on purpose, mostly as a misunderstanding), and he's so full of rage because he's convinced that he's got the right way for everyone (theory of mind) and doesn't understand why they don't just listen to him. Then as an adult, obviously has depression and anger issues, typical for undiagnosed aspies who haven't received childhood support for building friendships and life skills.

  2. No I don't think it's aspergers, it just doesn't fit. But she probably has Something anyway.

  3. It's funny that you posted this question. I love Harry Potter, and my friend has recently told me about all this crazy research she's done on Asperger's. [She thinks she and I both have it.]

As for Luna, (love her to death) but she does seem a bit socially awkward. ;]  Now that I think of it, she seems to fit some of the different descriptions for it. She's socially awkward, expresses her thoughts/feelings in a manner that would be considered "abnormal," and she's extremely intelligent. The only thing that wouldn't really fit is the way she is with emotional situations. Even though she may not be the *best* advice-giver (or most conventional, rather), she never shies away from comforting someone (Harry!) or relating her experiences. People with Asperger's generally don't do well with empathy. But Luna seems to have a lot of it!

Also, people with Asperger's (especially women) tend to focus on one main subject of interest, and have a hard time grasping things outside that range. But I don't think Luna would be in Ravenclaw if she didn't have a sharp mind for things like that.

  4. .no.
