Question:

Question for law enforcement?

I tend to drive fairly speedy, usually 5-10 over the limit. Why is it that people, especially on the freeway, do not follow the rule of pass, then return to the lane of travel? And more importantly, why do police not enforce the rules regarding impeding traffic? In my opinion, road rage, would be much less of an issue if people respected others, even those who don't dilly dally, on the road.

  1. Both lanes have same speed limit. Their is no FAST lane . As a rule you should stay to the right  lane except when passing. If the speed limit is 65 on the road and you`er doing 80 I will give you a ticket no matter what lane you`re in .

  2. There are only so many police to catch all the law breakers. They can't be every where (usually they are where you don't want them to be!). This problem of "hogging" the passing lane has been going on for a long time and probably will continue for a long time. Just like the signs that warn you to turn on lights in a construction zone...maybe 1 car in 5 has them on. People just don't think about what they are doing, they don't pay attention to signs, and they don't bother to learn the laws. Lead 'em to water, but can't make 'em drink!
