I have book A that i checked out from the library. Could i take the library bar code of the book, stick it onto my random book B, and turn in book B with book A's bar code, and they think that i turned in book A? Sorry if that's confusing. Thanks in advance

  1. yah you probably could

im not a librarian but i think it would work

not like the librarians sit there looking at the books being like

    "thats not the right book!"

    bahaha

  2. You'd be in big trouble if they caught you.

Also, a lot of libraries have a security strip inside the book, so they would notice that was missing.

And like the other person said, the library workers would notice anyway--they are trained to look carefully at every item when they check it back in.

If you lost or damaged something, please just pay for it.  The library belongs to everybody, and it's stealing to put one over on the library like you are suggesting.

  3. The computer would, but those librarians are smart cookies. They CAN read the cover, most likely.
