  1. I wouldn't give my toddler cow milk.  In simple terms, cow milk is just for that.....baby cows.  Baby cows are HUGE compared to human babies, and its made to give them the nutrition they need.  The protein structure is much different than human milk, and very hard to digest in general, especially for little tummies.

There are too many questions that need to be asked....  Just do some research, you'll be fine.

Just no soy milk.  Soy, when taken in large amounts can disrupt hormones in humans.  The only safe way to eat soy is if its been fermented....  Yet another soap box for another day...

  2. Organic soy milk.  Like EdenSoy or Vitasoy.  But NOT rice milk as it is low in nutrient.

  3. Dont start your baby on cows milk, the baby is to young to beable to break certain compounds down in the cows milk. This will cause lots of problems like gas and sickness. There are formulars on the market especially for babies, they have all the added nutrients in it that the baby requires to grow strong. Ideally breast milk is best, but if not availiable formulars a second best.

  4. If there is some problem that the baby cant take mother's milk.  Then there are special formulas on the market to substitute.  But breast milk for a newborn is by far the healthiest.   Walmart and most drug stores have a soy formula.

  5. well I don't have any kids but if I did I would hope my wife would be willing to do the breast milk.  there's really no subsititute.  think about it - do the Cows come knocking on our doors asking for Women's breast milk to feed their calves? so why should we be knocking on theirs?

well I'm not a nutritionist but the thing is knowing what the baby needs nutritionally, so if one can feed the baby with say a "meal that heals" then alternative foods will suffice.  who says a baby has to suckle.    I'm into juicing and read this book of this lady that had a baby and fed it natural platable for an infant food and it was okay.

the soy milk already have the warning on the label not to be used as a replacement for infant formula.
