Question for old girls!!?

How old were you when Aunt Ruby stopped visiting every month??

I haven't experienced menopause yet ( Since I'm only thirteen ) . The average age is 50 . My aunt stopped when she was 39 ( But that's VERY early ) . My mum is 48 and she is going through menopause currently .

I'm 51 and still going regular as clockwork. although 2 years into the menopause. I wish it would all end i've had enough.

This dosent apply to me but thought i would give some input.

My mother 48 has been going through metapause for some time now and her periods are getting further and further apart...so we expect soon. My aunts stopped in there late 40s early 50s.

I started menopause symptoms around 49 and had to eventually have a hysterectomy.  My sister differed completely and still continued menses up to 57.  It seems that we are all diverse and completely different.  I think sometimes stress can play a part in "that" time of life.

I'm not very old, but I do work as a nurse on a gynaecology ward, and the national average in this country for this happening is 52. Although for some its earlier, some later. You can also be "peri-menopausal" for about 5 years before Aunt Ruby makes her final visit!

GP's are able to do a blood test for this :)
