  1. Try changing your prenatal to another brand, and take it at night.  That really helped me.  Also, I ate a lot of prunes, and that really helped.  I hope things get better for you soon!

  2. this happened to me. i feel for you. you are completely safe to take a stool softener.....stool softners are not laxatives...i took colase during my first trimester.....it could also just be pregnancy hormones constipating you....i took 2 flinstones with iron during my pregnancy...the prenatals were just too harsh and made me sick.

  3. get off of the prenatals to much iron. what you need to do is get some flinstone vitamins is just as good but less amount of vitamins in it. it means your body is well capable to getting its nutrients.

  4. cheerios, oatmeal, bran bread , guava jelly . alot of pineapple anything with lots of fiber, and try changing your pre natalas for anotherone.

  5. I have heard other moms to be say that they were having problems with their prenatal vitamin so they decided to take the Flintstones children's vitamin.

  6. I was having severe "morning sickness" that lasted all day long and  couldn't keep anything down, including my prenatal vitamins. My doctor let me take the flinstone gummy vitamins and they really helped for some reason! So I would ask about that to your doctor just to see what he/she says!

  7. Ask your doctor to switch your vitamin.

My first vitamins I had made me nauseous. My doctor gave me a whole bunch of samples to try, and when I found one I liked, she gave me a prescription for it.

  8. I recommend bran cereal for breakfast, fiber one bars for snacks, whole wheat bread, and fruit with every meal.

  9. Do your prenatal vitamins have iron in them?

Iron is KILLER for constipation. And it is not always necessary - so ask your doctor about a vitamin with no iron in and try and get your iron from foods.
