Parents, how old would your kid have to be to be allowed to go on a double date to the movies?

Any info is appreciated. Thanks 10 points! (:

  1. I'm not a parent I'm just 18

but i would let them go at any age but their would be a chaperon. ( a trusted adult to follow behind and keep an eye out for danger)

  2. I agree with it.

You should be 16 before you're allowed to go on any dates.

  3. noo i wouldnt worry about it

  4. hard one... i guess a group of friends going to the movies isnt a big deal but a real date that would be a big deal. my daughter is only five and i just cant imagine that day yet, sorry...

  5. Because teen pregnancy is so high these days I would take my daughter and her date when she is probably 14 years old to the movies, bowling alley or skating ring really where ever she wants to go but I would be watching from afar the whole time to make sure things are age appropriate and nothing is going on that I don't know about my daughter is only 3 1/2. Yes I worry about her becoming pregnant as a teenager and am hoping to be part time by then.

  6. i think 18.

    legal age.

    :)

  7. Hate to tell you this, but I agree with your parents.  13 is way too young to be thinking about dates, boyfriends, love, any of that.  Now is time for you to concentrate on going to class and learning as much as you can.  You might not like to hear in now, but in five years when you're about to graduate high school and head off to college, which would you prefer:  to be a great student, get into a good college, have money to pay for it, and be able to do what you want? Or to be a mediocre student, have no money to go to college (maybe not even be able to go), but have had a dozen boyfriends?

I'm 20, and I still feel like it's too early in life to be dating.  Now, normally somewhere in between 13 and 20 is considered the best time - 17 or 18 I think.  But you've got a ways to go.

  8. I would have to say that it really depends on how mature the child is.. I wasn't allowed to go out with boys until i was 16, but i was def. mature enough, but my  parents just said no... If you really think that you are capable of dealing with the situation of a double date then i would say to sit down and talk to your parents like an adult and tell them that you really think you are ready.. Also, you can tell them that you will call them for a ride home if things aren't going the way they should go* Then they will know that you have the right state of mind in the situation. Hope I helped : )

  9. With my kids we allowed group dates at 14 and dating alone at 16. If you are responsible at your age and I knew the other kids i might let you go.

  10. Well... i would say 15. 15 and mature.
