my parents do not let let me buy rated T video games even though I am 15 years old. I only have 1 rated T video game and the only reason my parents let me buy it was because it was a surgery game called trauma center and I am becoming a doctor when I grow up.

Anyways how do you think I can convince my mom to let me get the rated T game, I really want either super smash bros brawl or zelda twilight princess. But I am afraid they will not let me get them because they are rated T

  1. maybe you could show her screen shots of the video game or maybe rent it and let her sit there while you play.  or maybe even show her some reviews on the game.

  2. make your mom understand that you are no longer a little boy and you know what is bad and that you will not do anything you shouldn't. but  on the other hand you know you can't argue with the parents.. you just need to prove to your mom your a teenager now which "T" stands for TEEN..hello. not all t games are bad. my sons hes 6 he has a race car game rated T but it doens't have anything bad. video game companies just do their part by rating what they are required by law to rate..

  3. Well p**p master, I agree that not all games rated T are evil but your mother is obviously doing something right by monitoring your use.

Maybe you could bring her to the video store and have her see first hand that they are not as bad as she thinks. Most games have demos that you can play before purchasing. Good luck p**p master!

  4. Show your parents reviews of the games that you are interested in, along with screen shots & walk throughs.  If they will let you, rent a copy of the game & ask them to play along with you, to help you both determine whether the game is worth having and is something that fits within your family's values.  Ask them to let you know what it is in T-Rated games that they don't want you to be exposed to, then show them that these particular games do not have that issue (if that's true).

  5. The first answer is definately right, I just want to add something. If your parents are concerned it isn't for you, just have one mature friend come over with the video game and tell her that he plays it and his parents have no problem.

  6. Dude my five year old has rated T games. You just need to go on line and show your mom the games. If they are not as bad like you say then she shouldn't have a problem.
