Question for people who don't like pornography ?

I once had a psychologist who was surprised because I didn't / don't like pornographic magazines . I couldn't really tell him why I didn't like filthy magazines . They seem to disrespect women and cheapen s*x . NOW -- is there anything I didn't mention or think of ? Is there something you don't like about pornography ? If you have something against pornography, here's your chance to tell me about it . Thank you in advance for your answers .

Our society is really far too inhibited in a sexual sense.

p**n magazines are called "Filthy" and Pornstars are sinners and p**n Producers are called "s**t Peddlers."  

The reason that g*y Marriage is such a polarizing issue, the reason that we demonize our politicians and make their private lives public, the reason that we are shocked by the very things that we think about or do.....because our society needs to lighten the %@#& up.

I've never understood how the value of money can lead  women to degrade themselves and allow themselves to be used by multi millionaires.

However, as long as men are willing to pay the price, someone will always be willing to furnish the market.

it objectifies the sexuality especially women. Women's s*x is what the companies objectify and commodify as a product to sell, and so make money from.

it distorts, distracts and disgraces the sincerity and dignity of s*x that's supposed to be committed within a marriage boundary which mainly occurs with the purpose of reproducing the offspring.

and the two reasons you mentioned are excellent points.

the oldest pastime ever, and people STILL can't deal with it.

it's natural and subjective. no one should ever say it's good or bad, just that it is or is not for them. religion is great for telling people how to live.People say "it objectifies woman". what about men?

will the repression pendulum swing again?

I don't like it because, as you have already said, it cheapens s*x and the whole relationship between men and women - which is usually in enough trouble as it is!

s*x should be a private experience between two people within a mutually affectionate and respectful relationship.

Pornography changes it from sensual into lewd - from beautiful into obscene - from something to value and treasure into something to leer at and make crude jokes about.  

It makes me wonder, how can ANYONE think that taking what should be the ultimate expression of mutual attraction and affinity and turning it into a dirty joke is a good thing?

It is the dark, negative, mirror-image or flip-side of s*x as it should be.

I think your psychologist is guilty (perhaps unintentionally) of perpetuating a very negative and unflattering stereotype - namely the idea that all men like p**n.  My late husband didn't like it and neither does my boyfriend.

1. it is stricktly forbiden not only in my religion but in all religions.

2. it is against the human rights, why any one can use a woman (or her pictures) for his satisfaction.

3. it affects on teenagers (specially it affects their studies)

4. it is against the morality

I don't like pornography neither because I don't want to watch other men to put their dingus in the woman's dingus in a movie/magazine available to everyone who wants to see it... And I also don't like it the camera between her legs, I mean a picture of a naked woman is okay as long as it is esthetic, and the girl is not showing EVERYTHING, but the camera between her legs is not okay, because then she shows everything to all the people who are buying those magazines, there is no pride in her anymore, there is nothing that's kept secret, there is nothing on her body which is for her boyfriend only. Many other men will know what she does look like naked. Who wants to adore a girl who was naked for everybody, or who wants to watch a girl who didn't know how many men she had slept with before. That's disgusting.

The big moral issue. Pornography is again a moral issue. The contents are more intrusive on people whom are "closed minded," now stop and think, no written or pictorial material is pornographic in itself. These are designed for a person to develop an imaginative event with or without yourself. When an observer projects the self into the material then it becomes sexually and genitally excitable. Pornography is notable a commercialized form of entertainment which should be in a private setting and not to be taken seriously. Any addiction must have an psychosocial content or it will not have an impact on the psyche of human beings. Here is a bit of sociology researched in the past few years, a native tribe on the continent of Africa has a standing tradition where the male is encouraged to perform fellatio on a male elder of the tribe to signify his new wife he will not commit adultery. Also the females must have their clitoris removed, to signify they will not experience sexual enjoyment. Now I'm positive these same people would probably laugh at the follies of our modern civilized nation. I have double majors at a university in Illinois and we are subjected to the plain effects of truth unlimited, "no holds barred," we learn intrinsically because the reward is so little. After all who needs to be paid to watch another destroy or diminish the natural rights of sexuality.
