  1. they will have your ticket at the station(go to the ticket window

(or  if you have a confirmation number you might be able

to use the Quick-ticket vending machine (you c

bring some ID with you of course

  2. At the station, they will give you the ticket at the ticket booth. When you board the train... Theres usually a platform. It all depends what type of station your at!! They will usually tell you what car your in too. They on the train they will tell you which stop is next.  Hope that helps most of it. P.S, If your traveling the Auto Train... you keep only what you don't need into your car, they don't weigh it!

  3. They will tell you where to board and when/where the train is stopping.  When I rode the train a few years ago you couldn't check in luggage so that was a huge pain.  Maybe they have changed that.  Just be careful because I have heard of crimes occuring on Amtrak, like theft.  I wasn't happy with my train experience but hopefully you'll have a better time.

  4. if you purchased your ticket online bring your receipt and ask the conductor if thats sufficient and get therea little early so you can get a good seat and to check what you need to do. also bring the credit card along you paid the ticket with and you can sit whereeever you want on the train
