Question for rating businesses on a Web site...?

Could I write true, accurate reviews on businesses on my Web site without getting in trouble or sued? Thank you for your help.

  1. Should you choose to review various businesses and maintain a certain degree of objectivity versus personal rants or raves, then you will not be placing yourself into any legal jeopardy.  The same holds true for commenting at a public forum or blog.

    Before contemplating such a venture, you have to ask yourself the singular question of what is the marketability of the reviews?  Who would pay money or whatever for such reviews?  The answer will direct your expenditures for web site design, hosting, bandwidth, advertising, etc.
