i was just wondering if someone could place a value on an autographed item i have in my posession. it's sort of unusual. i have a cricket bat signed by darren mccarty. he said so himself that he's signed many basketballs, but never a cricket bat. i was just wondering if it could ever be worth something someday becuase i'm pretty sure it's the only one in existence. let me know what you think. =D thanks for your help ahead of time!

  1. i don't know how much it would be now but im sure in a few years it will be worth alot especially if he switches teams or retires...my dad is a huge huge huge redwings fan

  2. I have to say it is unique but the average hockey fan wouldn't put too much value to it. Add that it is D-Mac, although he has won the Stanley Cup and all, he's not that sought after when it comes to memorabilia.

Darren has even lost most of his own personal items because of his bankruptcy and all. those items would be worth more I believe.

  3. Never know what some people will pay though..

  4. in the collecting world items such as that are demed to have personal value only.  In another words while it means the world to you and you have a great story to tell with it, on an open market it out fetch at most what his signature on a napkin would get. Sorry to break it to you,  I say display it and tell the story.

  5. I don't know I will have to talk to him about it at a hockey camp he's doing here in July about a cricket bat he signed for someone on yahoo answers

  6. Im not trying to dis your cricket bat, but Ive purchased some redwings memorabilia and I dont think I would ever buy a signed cricket bat, basketball, volleyball, or anything else that was signed and not directly related to the game of hockey...sorry.
