how far is nasr city from zamalek? (how long of a taxi ride?)

I agree with the Sultan on this, but I would add that traffic as you near Zamalek, especially if you go through Downtown and as you cross either of the bridges can also add significantly to your travel time.

From Zamalek to Nasr City is about 30 minutes normally.

Can reach 1 hour in peak times.

It is not a good idea to live in Zamalek and work in Nasr City (if you have the choice) especially if you have to start work at 9:00 am or something. But if your working hours starts at say 7:00 am maybe ok.

The other question would be where in Nasr City?

Nasr city is too big and some areas can get really blocked in rush hours, like Rabaa Aladawiya, Abbas Alakkad, and Makram Obeid.
