Question:

Question for store owners. (Fast food, etc.)?

Sometimes I feel bad for using a coupon. Sometime I just don't want to look stupid.

For example, there is a coupon for a fast food place for a free smoothie. It is a legitimate valid coupon that you can print online (coupon.com). Since it was printed from the internet, I don't want to take it to the restaurant, give it to the cashier and have them have a weird look on their face like they don't know if it's for real.

As a store employee or manager or owner of a national fast food chain, are you informed of all the coupons for your particular restaurant?

  1. I wouldn't worry about it.  The employees don't care if you have a coupon or not, they are just there to take care of you and make your product.   The owner doesn't care either.  He's just happy that you are in the store and will hopefully tell others how great and friendly the place is.  More often than not, I would say that store owners don't know about all coupons out there.  Especially for companies that coupon heavily.

  2. i am not an owner but i was a manager....all coupons that were just for our store or from corporate, we were informed abouti and it was our job to inform the employees....as being a manager i was constantly around a register making sure coupons were valid. plus if it wasnt in our system then it couldnt be used.

  3. My family owns a Subway. Sometimes someone will walk in with a coupon for a free sub and soda. We have no idea where they come from. Sometimes Subway will do a national coupon thing or you can get them from newspapers. We always accept them. And no we don't give you weird looks. LOL
