Would you as an American buy goods that were made in the United Kingdom.

Do you consider British made goods of good quality or would you steer clear of them.

If any item is "good" what would you buy and why.

  1. I would love to buy things from the UK,

    especially hand knits,scarves,dolls,whatever.

Yes I would consider the quality a lot higher

    than what we get now.

I would love to get a catalog or website of

    any UK made items.

BBC America always sends me emails to

buy but their things are pretty high.

I just bought a hat from Australia, so I

would also love a hat or clothing from the UK.  Our localwinters are about the same as yours.

  2. yes

  3. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy British products but I certainly wouldn't steer clear of them either.

  4. Sure. . .why not? The UK isn't China, I actually trust them.  I don't think they'd try to poison our food. . .

  5. Of course, if it is quality and competitively priced. Americans are stupid enough to by products from China and all over the world, it just happens that they build more inferior useless c**p than Britian, thats why we buy most of our stuff from them, because were idiots.

  6. British goods have more than doubled in price due to the USD being half GBP. It is quite awful with the Euro too. Nowadays the Dollar can't buy much abroad. However, if you guys in Europe fancy buying stuff in the US, this is it big time ;-)

  7. You mean the UK actually produces something other than wankers... I never knew.

Just kidding, of course.  The only UK products I know I buy on a regular basis are foodstuffs.

  8. i've bought pipes from the UK before, and they were of very good quality.

i would have no problem buying anything from the UK as long as i could afford it, since your money is worth more than ours is.

  9. buying things from the UK is wayyy better than buying them from china... i would consider your goods high quality, but i don't think i've ever seen anything w/ a "made in the UK" stamp on it... lol

  10. No preference I only stay clear of things from china because of the !@#$%^& paint.
