Question for the Kiwis - if the ABs couldn't win the cup, who would you be supporting?

Can only choose out of the teams left. I'm just wondering if NZers have any love for a team other than the ABs.

Would love an Argentina to win it if the kiwi's dont. Would really push their case for inclusion in the tri-nations.

The Pumas. Would give the IRB something to ponder, and probably get more Argentinian kids playing the game. Certainly add some fuel to Argentina's demands to play more tests and enter the Tri-nations comp.

But RSA - Australia final would be a great match up. I love watching both nations go at it, that would be a tough final to call.

MMM good question although it very imaginative as they will destroy all but i would have to for either fiji!!!! hahah or argentina! as australia are our arch nemises and SA are dirty Pricks and england are sooooo boring and scotland sare boring also but fiji are great underdogs so good for them and argentina are also slight underdogs

SA or Australia. Because they are our SANZAR partners and good on them if they win it. Preferebly SA as they have been playing well and the Ozzies would rub it in our face alot, but either one is fine by me

I would def be supporting argentina! I dont think France desrves to win & NZers would never hear teh end of it from the Aussies or the South Africans if either was to win!

Either SA or Aus, If they meet in the final I don't care who wins (at least the trophy's caming back south)

because they're our tri-nation rivals (and the only other good teams left). if the abs meet SA in the final I'd be dissapointed if they lost but i'd still be happy for SA.(same with the aussies in the semis)

Fiji!!!  They are our pacific cousins!  A lot of Kiwis support the underdog (after ourselves!) - and Fiji are definately the underdogs.  Next would be Argentina.

Argentina.

It would be the best possible outcome for the global game of rugby if the Argies took it out.

They are deprived of international competition, so their victory would be a big case for them.

It would also grow the game further in Argentina and South America. Gotta love the big underdog victory too.

An Argentina victory would keep the trophy in the south (where it belongs).

Of the other teams:

Fiji - don't really have a chance but how good would that be?!?!?!?

Scotland - Gotta love the brave scots, but it wouldn't feel right if they won it.

France - too cocky and arrogant for my liking. I hope they crash and burn so Laporte can whipe that stupid grin of his face.

Aus/SA - We will never hear the end of it if either of them win. Couldn't think of a worse outcome.  We have to play them all year round and it will be a constant reminder.

I would support the Pumas even if they were knocked out of the pool. I see no reason why the Kiwis wouldnt do the same. (althought they might be a little more pissed than me)

Not to sound arrogant but given the odds this is a question for science fiction writers, however if it did happen I'd like Argentina, but by all odds it'll be a NZ v South Africa final, with a hard fought but convincing win for NZ. Go the ABs!
