what are the internal/external changes each character goes throught the story?

ex. hester is a young beauty with youthful qualities in the beginning and towards the middle of the book (which is where i'm at) she becomes more dull and accepts the culture of the puritan society by wearing her hair up and still allowing the A to be on her bosom.

can you help me with other characters

  2. Chillingworth: becomes wicked and "the image of the devil" in his revenge on Dimmesdale

    Dimmesdale: starts destructive habbits and gets ill (hand over heart) because the guilt of his sin is eating away at him

    Pearl: Of course she grows up throught the book, and also she becomes wiser with age. She used to be the little elf child who was bad, but then she grew up.
