Question for the reiki practioners?

How far away can someone be to do distance reiki? is there a limit on the distance. Also, this may sound dumb, but I need to ask. I want a guy friend to have reiki done to help with his drinking problem. He's worried that the energy flow will give him an erection. Is that possible? Thanks for your feedback!

Reiki performed over a distance should be every bit as effective as traditional reiki.  Logically there's really no way to have less of an effect than traditional reiki, so it shouldn't make any difference.

Reiki uses the universal energy that surrounds us all, so it does not make a difference as to how near or far someone is to us, the energy just flows. It cannot cause someone to have an errection, in fact they may not even notice that they are receiving it al all.

You do not sound dumb, everyone has to learn by asking questions.

Reiki can be sent past, present and future as well as any distance. The guy friend probably is not ready to quit drinking. As far as an erection, is he hoping for one? maybe the drinking isn't helping in that department. If he wants help with his drinking problem that is great but he needs to know that Reiki will not cure him. It may help him but he needs to take responsibility and take action if he wants to be free.  :  )

There is no distance limit.  Energy has no boundaries.  I do healings all over the world.

Actually, I just did a distance session on a man who reported sexual arousal during the session.  You just never know what is needed for that person's healing.  I don't believe it's common, but clearly it can happen.

Reiki works just as well at any distance over the whole earth.

The energy flow of Reiki does not give an erection. The energy always goes where it is needed. Not where it is not needed.

Reiki energy is Long Distance Wiifi communication and we are the transmission towers. The energy flows with every thought and when you focus on a person and healing it becomes even stronger.

I use to manage and lead a Long Distance Healing Circle that we did on Prodigy Once a week (chat room) and we were able to get feedback from the members that were miles and miles away. (as in England, Spain etc.)There are some amazing stories. One lady had a phobia where she was afraid to leave her home (hadn't left in years).  After a few weeks of sending Reiki to her, she reported that she was actually able to go down to the beach and walk around.  She was overjoyed because her fear was very slight.  Oh my nickname then was Flute and i was a member representative and Chat Host Manager for Prodigy. Then Prodigy went away and merged with Flash.net then merged with Yahoo.

Beginning with Prodigy,  I created a Group of healing across the Internet and we send Reiki out all the time. Recently there is a person from Australia asking for us to send Reiki to a friend of his and he is reporting very good benefits.

Your guy friend is more worried that he wont drink anymore or it will cause more problems than he already has.  If he says No, then don't send him reiki, if he says yes then send Long Distance Reiki and don't worrry.

There is no limit on the distance, erection is unlikely.

Distance Reiki is probably a misnomer - using this technique really doesn't send the energy over a distance; what it actually does is enables you to CONNECT with a person, place or thing and channel Reiki to it.

Now, to help you answer your questions:

1. There can be any distance between you and the recipient - across the world in a hospital bed, out of the world in a space shuttle, in the room next to where you are or even sitting on the lounge beside you. There is no limit on physical distance. We are all CONNECTED. The distance or absent healing method you use is based around using a symbol that will enable you to CONNECT with your subject.

2. The erection - many of the other people who've answered your question haven't had some of the experiences that I have had. I have found it common for men to experience an erection during a Reiki treatment (regardless of how appealing or unappealing the person giving the treatment is - LMFAO). This is especially the case when treating a male's back in the area behind the prostate. The most common position stimulating this response is when one of your hands is at the base of the neck and the other is just above the buttocks (in the small of the back). As I said, it is common - neither frequent, nor likely - but certainly not rare.

3. I have never known a male to experience an erection during "distance" treatment - again, it is always possible.

It sounds as though your friend may have experienced a Reiki treatment before and found it sexually stimulating. So be it. If that's really a concern of his, organise to 'send' the energy at a predetermined time, when he will be in the privacy of his own home to save him any possible embarrassment.

It could, of course, also be the case that he'd rather not accept the treatment - in which case the energy won't find him - and is using the erection fear as an excuse.
