If you saw a shadow in the corner of your vision, did the shadow every move? Could you move it as if it were a floater? Was it always there? Could you see it both indoors and outdoors?

  1. A retinal detachment can cause devastating damage to the vision if left untreated. It is considered an ocular emergency that requires immediate medical attention and surgery. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, I suggest you be seen right away.

    -Light flashes

    -“Wavy,” or “watery” vision

    -Veil or curtain obstructing vision

-Shower of floaters that resemble spots, bugs, or spider webs

    -Sudden decrease of vision

    Good luck!
