Question for those who have or know anything about Ortho K contacts?

I had cataract surgery and now cannot see up close. Will ortho k correct that? I have a prescription of something like -2.75 and plus 2.5 in one eye. Will that be corrected fully or does it only correct one, either the farsightedness or nearsightedness? Also I have always had double vision with contacts because I have large pupils. Will this eliminate that problem since I don't actually use the contacts to see? Also can you get a sample of them to try out or do you have to pay up front before even trying them out?

  1. Cataract surgery removes the natural lens of the eye and replaces it with an implant. The implant can correct for distance or near but not both. Get used to wearing reading glasses. Ortho K will not help.
