Question for woman who are or who have used clomid?

Question

ladies, on whatever round you ovulated using clomid what did your doctor do next? did they have you come in for another round of the same dose? of did they tell you to just have s*x on certain days the next following month without using clomid?

You get to use clomid monthly from the second day AF shows though doctor will change drugs if its not working for you

I had taken clomid for three months at a stretch in the past

this month was my first round of Clomid.  I took it on days 3-7 but I have heard of it being taken on other days of the cycle.  I was given an appointment for blood work and an ultrasound on day 10 to measure my follicles.  there was no sign of ovulation so I was told to come back on day 14 and in the meanwhile to take OPK every day starting on day 12.  It was positive on day 13 and on day 14 I returned to the doctor for more blood work and another ultrasound.  This time my ovaries were less "shy" and they were able to measure 1 mature follicle and the possibility of another so that afternoon I went back for an IUI.  I am now in the middle of my 2WW and I was going crazy yesterday when I thought I was nauseous so I took a test and of course it was BFN.  I have 7 days to go before the doctor told me to test but I just had to do it.  Anyway I was told to get more blood work done on 7 dpo and do a home pregnancy test on 14 dpo and to call the office with the result either way.  If it is BFN I will be given an RX for another round of clomid and like the shampoo bottle says "rinse and repeat"!!!  The dose will most likely be the same since the 100mg was enough for me to ovulate.  Hopefully they told you to have s*x on the days that you were positive for your LH surge and you are now one of us - the two week waiters!!!  Baby Dust to all of you TTC

well i ovulated on clomid last month and i had to go back to the gynos again, and they gave me 3 months worth of clomid on the same dose (100mgs) and another day 21 test to do (just to make sure everythings still okay.

so it's likely if they have found the right dose to make you ovulate thats brilliant they will prob keep you on that dose for at least 3 months (depending on how many months youve had it already it's usually a max of 6 months)

This is my first round of clomid and my dr monitored me every other day until I ovulated. AF is due in 3-4 days, They said call IF it starts to start all over again, I am hoping that it does not. Baby dust to you
