  1. I think it varies for everyone. Mine was back to how it was prior to giving birth within a few months. (In fact, my son's dad said it had actually gotten tighter).

I did keigels all throughout my pregnancy. That helps with the delivery, but also helps to keep everything "together" afterwards.

  2. I'm not a woman, but as a married man with three girls, I will answer anyways.  Even after having 3 kids, my wife's v****a hasn't changed at all.  Besides being very sore and tender for about a month, but she didn't tear at all, so no stitches.  Make sure your doctor stretches you out while your in the hospital to help prevent tearing or needing an epesiotomy.

  3. Well, I have heard both sides of the story.  I myself, have had 2 boys and have not noticed a change, but have heard of others that have.  What I can definitely recommend is to do your Kegel exercises regularly!  This will help that muscle go back to normal as it is supposed to be.

Also, not sure if you have thought of this or heard of it yet, but to prevent tearing or needing an epesiotomy, do perennial massaging.  I tore with my first delivery, but after doing this for about 2 weeks (and not faithfully) I was able to deliver without any tearing or cutting!  I was super excited considering my first was less than 6 lbs and my second was over 8!

So, good luck and if it's a real concern ask your doctor they will know more of the scientific part of it.

  4. It will change some, but nothing to where s*x isnt pleasurable anymore. You're climaxes may change (meaning it may take longer to climax) especially if you don't lose all of the baby weight right away. But honestly doing the kegal exercises will helps strengthen the vaginal muscles thus helping your v****a to go back to normal. I tore on the inside and not on the outside if that matters so the only part i had stitches on was a little piece on the inside. so it will change, if this happens to you but it won't be gross or big...i wouldnt think...just do the exercises. :)

  5. This doesnt happen to all women.Usually it goes back to it's regular size. You can do something called Kegel exercises during and after your pregnancy. It'll strengthen your v****a and keep it "tighter."Look it up on the internet.Pretend you are trying to hold in your urine( like when you can't get to a bathroom!).Hold it as hard as you can.Do it for 10 seconds and slowly release. You can do it throughout the day.

  6. It may change a bit but it won't stay huge so don't worry! I've given birth to 3 babies, all over the 7 pound mark (one at 9 pound 2) and i'm still as...ahem...tight as i ever was! Do your pelvic floor exercises often and you'll be fine. And don't be sorry-it's a reasonable question!

  7. This is a normal question. i was scared before i had my son that i would be "loose" after birth. your v****a will go abck to normal size after it is all healed from the birth. dont worrie about it.

  8. Legitimate concern. Something that crossed my mind as well, I have to admit. I was told (by a Labor & Delivery nurse) that "the playgound is CLOSED for 6 weeks" to give you time to heal & also that you will be AMAZED at how your body heals.

If you tear or need an episiotomy the Dr will sew you up after labor. They do a good job of "taking care of you" afterwards.

  9. It doesn't change - I have had 4 really big babies naturally and my husband never noticed a difference.
