Question from a French girl to New Zealanders? Do you think that France can beat the All Blacks?

I love the All Blacks and I wish we had met for the finals but I'm rooting for my team of course. Please answer truthfully.

Anything is possible my dear... The question should be, 'Has France learnt from their mistake from loosing to Argentina? and if so, have they prepared themselves by taking it up another 4 more levels to match the All Blacks?

It's clear from France selections, that their intentions is going to be a kicking game. This is good and they may have discovered something that the other teams is yet to discover. But remember this All Black team can attack from any where on the field. They also have a very good kicking game and at any time, they can make something out of nothing. Remember this is an All Black team the coaches feel is the best team to beat France, and being the World Cup Quarter Finals, anything can happen as history has shown with pass All Blacks companies.

In conclusion the All Blacks are learning from loosing the last  World Cup and have had 4 year to prepare for this. France lost their first game to Argentina, this alone has made a major up set to their campaign and because of this, France is having to rebuild and after watching their pool play, they are still struggling in their back line. The back line is what France is favours for and with out this they will struggle to beat the All Blacks.

I hope not because we are sick and tired of coming home losers.  Enough is enough, if we can't win the Rugby World Cup, we will never win it and I said that after the semi final loss to Australia in 1991.

He is telling the truth,while i say the AB's will win this game,theri is that niggling feeling in thr back of my head,they the French will pull out all the stops and give us a run for our $$,although it is low..

Not an NZer, but would like to say that this is one game I am looking forward to!  They both tend to play the same kind of game and a very entertaining one at that!

The French maybe playing in Wales, but do like playing at the millennium stadium and they did shock the AB's at twickers in 1999 by coming back and beating them in the second half!

So I think the French can do it, they seem more fired up since the opening match against the Puma's!

May the best team win on the day, because that is what counts.......who is the better team on the day!

Every New Zealander believes France can win this game.  The one's that say you can't are just being optimistic.  We may win most games we play but we've had some really bad results throughout history like all teams have and so we know we could lose each time we step out on the field.

New Zealand respect the French team because you play more like we do than any other Northern Hemisphere team and we know you are most dangerous when everyone writes you off.  The difference this time though is that I think the NZ team are more experienced and are totally focussed on this game and not looking ahead.

Can't wait for this weekend though, I think we have your number this time... but then we thought that last time didn't we?

I am not a Kiwi, but I am a Springbok chick and cannot resist a rugby question.  Let me answer your question this way if I may:  although I am convinced that my Bokke will win against Fiji in the Q.F.  I have a teeny weeny worry and wish that darn game was over already.  I know we will win, but I also know the Fijians are very tough and physical and I dont want my boys hurt (*sob) I have no doubts that the pumas will be an easy win though and therefore I believe we will reach the final.

I would imagine that the Kiwis probably feel a similar way about their match against France.  They know that a win is 90 percent in the bag, but it is that annoying little 10 percent that is at the backs of their minds.

To the kiwi girls from this Bokke girl:  Darn yes!!! those Bokke men are SERIOUSLY hot!

Hi Kaitepai, I know the strange reason why you support the Boks..its because they are incredibly good looking and they are a superb Rugby team as well.  Well thats what I think of them, and Im a Kiwi too and thats just my unbiased opinion of the Springboks.  

But focusing back to the initial question I think France can beat New Zealand.  I mean you are the host nation, that will give your team the drive to push it up a notch to try and beat us.  But then again All Blacks will also push it up a couple of notches too.  I will be very nervous watching this quarter final match.  I really hope the All Blacks win though..but IF not..I wish France all the best in the tournament.

Woops I apologize in advance for going off topic again Utopie =) To Debra M, Springboks are so so HOT!! Im just gonna go all out there and say they are the best looking team in the World Cup.  I have no doubt in my mind they will be in the Final with the abundance of talent they have in their team.  Even though Im an All Black supporter I just cannot deny it...and I truly hope the All Blacks do meet the Boks in the finals..*fingers crossed* =)

I am a New Zealander but for some strange reason I support South Africa, so heres an unbiased but educated opinion. The ABs will be playing their first hard game and they will have 1999 in their heads. Not only will they be playing for revenge, but they will also be fit and fresh. The ABs may not have looked as good as the did in the tri nations, but France look worse. Expect NZ to come out full force, and unless France can do something magical, I honestly think the kiwis will kill them. However, I think it may be a different story against the Aussies.
