Question obtaining Italian citizenship.?

My great grandparents were born in italy and then married in italy. they moved to the U.S. in the early 1900's. shortly after my grandmother was born in the U.S. My father was born after 01/01/1948. Am I still eligible for jure sanguinis? Can my grandmother still be jure sanguinis?

  2. Apart from the link posted I'd warn you that with the Italian citizenship you LOSE out big way.

    It seems strange but foreigners in Italy don't get to pay for medicines, they get about 30 DAILY euros free from the government etc etc etc, Iialian citizens don't get ANY of it.

    So think twice before you get it because it could be a huge downer for you if you are thinking with an USA mentality.

    In Italy the FOREIGNERS rule, the Italians do not. If this sounds extreme, then do your own reshearch, you will find VERY STRANGE things about the Italians.
